What are we, really?

This movie is the perfect base for a new Michael Moore movie. It reveals the pure lazyness of the technologygeneration that we are, and proves once and for all that everything we do and learn daily is irrelevant when it comes to the real world, simply because what we chose to spend time on is worthless in the long run. We use facebook, we abuse myspace, we sit hours in and out watching TV and buying products designed to make us more dependent on digital appliances. We live in a world of ignorance, where we believe that as long as we are good, nothing or no one else matters. We do not care whether third world humans have a good life, we choose to close our eyes to every problem that doesn’t affect us on a day to day basis. Students would spend more time worrying about the schools internet going down than they would if a nuclear bomb hit some far away country, and left thousands for death. Is this what we want to leave behind for future generations? History will consist of “great geeks of the 19th century” and “Internets greatest hits” instead of authors, instead of poets. We leave behind a legacy that is worthy of no man, and the truth of it is that we do not give a damn.

Why were we scared new years eve of 1999? Because we all knew if technology would fail this day, human existence as we know it would be erased, and we would all go back to being cavemen. Perhaps this wouldn’t have been such a bad thing? ….

It would, if nothing else, have given us the option to change what we have become.

Oh the horror!

Several of the people in our class have chosen to make a horrorfilm instead of writing a blog, and we have gotten the oportunity to follow their journey towards scaring the living crap out of us. Today they had a presentation and we were flies on the wall trying to cover the whole thing.

We were brought into a room that seemed in total chaos, perhaps not so weird considering the circomstances. After a brief moment of trying to make the rest of the kids not act like 3year olds, the presentation of the filmproject they had chosen started.

We were told a story about 2 young boys (Chris & Alex) going rockclimbing in Østmarka. After a while, Chris looses contact with Alex but doesn't worry too much yet seeing as Alex has a tendency of running off randomly, but always showing up after a few hours. However, when Alex doesn't appear after some time, Chris starts worrying, and goes off to look for his missing buddy. After a while, Chris discovers something horrifying! He finds Alex hanging by the neck in a tall tree. This whole thing makes Chris terrified, and he senses he is no longer safe.. Something is out there, someone murdered his friend, and maybe that someone is waiting for him to get back to his tent before he makes his second kill...

The group did not want to reveal the ending of the movie, which is logical seeing as when you know the ending before you see it, all the thrill of it easily vanishes. The presentation was however rather unsatisfactory since there didn't seem to be much work put into letting the "press" get the feel of the setting.

Sadly, we (me and Beate) are having alot of trouble uploading the movie and pictures we took during the presentation, but this will be added as soon as we are able to. Meanwhile, you can enjoy this horrorflick.

Vaffanculo!

How would you react if the people chosen to lead your country all had criminal records? Every single one of the 25 people in question, had previously been convicted of different crimes, and sentenced. Well, this is what's currently going on in Italy.

Italias own "Michael More", Beppe Grillo has decided to take this matter into his own hands, and he does that through Italias most visited blog, beppegrillo.it
Grillo has obviously been banned from Italian medias and the likes, but continues to host praise from his fans all over
He has started his own movement, named Clean Parliament, where he proposes a law saying that everyone being a representative of the Italian Parliament has to have clean records to be able to be leading the country.

Vaffanculo is a rather nasty Italian swearword that Grillo used to front the finale of his project, wanting associations with D-day/Vandetta.

Grillo visited the EU-parlament in Brüssel with strong language and alot of humor during his speach.

Vaffanculo is often refered to as V-day, and here's a flickeralbum I made with random pictures showing just that.

Feeling heavy? Otep.

Oh joy.

I've gotten a cold! Yes, how ironic, the norwegian has a cold. I should know better than to think its warmer than it is this time of year really. I should be this harsh and brutal viking, not sit here blowing my nose and feeling utterly sorry for myself. I do feel I deserve some pity though, I'm sitting at school like this, while I could be at home under my cosy blanket.

Perhaps I should go be british and get myself some tea.. Or play some cricket. Or drive on the wrong side of the road! (You cant say its right, because its left, hence its wrong, so hah!)

I haven't had a fun weekend really. My grandmother passed away on Thursday, so the weekend has rather been spoiled with tears. She is probably better off though, which makes me feel loads better thinking about that. She was sick for many years, had problems with every single bone in her body, so she's probably extremely happy she got peace.

RIP besta, glad i deg.
